nigelgrant
I visited Reykjavik a couple of years ago and two buildings of major prominence were the Harpa Concert Hall and the Hallgrimskirkja Church. The latter was noted in the new update to the demo scenery - I cannot find it - was it a custom type building with a very high steeple or just a generic building? nigelgrant
Curses! - I cannot paste my text into this post!! So I will have to type it. Thx Dieter for the info. In top-down view the church imprint is there but no 3D building. FTX Central shows two programs installed: FTX openLC Europe Region 1 (BalticsDemo) Version 1.10 - September 2013 FTX openLC Europe Region 8 (Iceland Demo) version 1.00 - October 2013 Strangely it does not show Iceland version 1.10 even although I installed the 1.10 patch; and where Baltics Demo came from I don't know. And there is no church in the harbour! Any comments Nigel Vancouver
Nick Cooper
The update will result in this FTX openLC Europe Region 8 (Iceland Demo) Version 1.10- June 2014 ( Copied and pasted into this reply). in the Installed ORBX Products Report. Clearly you have not successfully installed the update. Please try again, following the on-screen instructions and allowing each stage time to complete. You will then see this and a very good model it is too. Here is a view from the tower As you can see and I am sure you know the Harpa Concert Hall is by the harbour but in this scenery is still under construction. I have not been able to find any models of it either free or payware. I have been lucky enough to visit it though. The Baltic Demo is included with FTX Vector
nigelgrant
Hi Nick Thx for your response and pix, brought back memories, we spent 3 full days in the Reykjavik area and thoroughly enjoyed it. We would like to return sometime and explore the Island. Apparently ie11 recent updates are not compatible with some webpages, there was a string on the ORBx forum about it and at the moment there seems to be no fix. I couldn't understand why the patch was so big and as a result of your help it is obvious I downloaded the original demo. I have subsequently correctly downloaded the patch and all is well, the magnificent church is there! thx for your help Nigel
anfield ace
Hi Nick, May I just "but in" and ask you, when the "Open LC Europe" package is released, will the "Iceland demo" have to be un-installed first? Thank you, Cheers,
Nick Cooper
I can't answer that I am afraid, because I don't know. I expect it will depend on the eventual file structure of the OLC_EU8 and 9 folders and whether there are additional files. I would have thought it unlikely.
