These are just a few enroute of P3D v2.2. Unfortunately, my laptop is beginning to struggle now and I can't run cloud shadows at all Still, I've worked out a spec for a new desktop PC and just need to organise a few extra dollars (few? ha!) and then maybe I can do better. I'll start with a modest setup that is better than my laptop, but has scope for upgrade later: I need to keep the outlay as low as possible for now. So far, after speaking with the good chaps at the local store who will build to order, I have on quote a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H board, i7-4770K 3.5GHz, 8GB mem, a couple of reasonable drives and an Asus GTX 750 Ti. I'd have gone for an Asus board, but their product list had changed overnight, so the Gigabyte was a suggested alternative. I'm considering a 128GB SSD for the OS but I'm not too fussy about initial load times and not convinced of the benefit once everything is up and running.
