bdf369
I just bought NCA. Roads are yellow and splotchy, everything has a sick yellow color to it. Any idea what's wrong? Thanks, Barry #FSS0273131
bdf369
I experimented some more and it seems to depend on time of day. The splotches start appearing around 4:30pm. By 5:30 pm roads are all yellow-green. Earlier in the daytime I don't see the problem. Thanks, Barry
Ed Correia
I believe what you are seeing is how the the scenery changes from the day to night variants. You can also observe behaviour this in rural areas at the same time. Its more pronounced with the roads as they have a night texture to mimic the lighting from the street lighting. As far as I know, this is a limitation of FSX and you will have that half hour or so when the scenery tiles change at the dusk/dawn times.
bdf369
Thanks Ed. I suspected it was an FSX thing. I've played a bit with my own photoscenery and noticed a similar effect.
Holger Sandmann
Hi guys, indeed, during dawn and dusk FSX loads both daytime and nighttime textures and overlays them. We have no control when this happens and for how long. Similarly, the timing of when our (and other's) 3D nightlights turn on or off isn't necessarily in sync with the ground texture transitions meaning they may turn on later or off sooner. Cheers, Holger
