Ripcord
I have had this problem in several locations when flying in default non-FTX areas. I get ground textures where there should be ocean. Sometimes I also get the unhandled exception error, but I have installed the current libraries and Net 4.5 installed. Tonight I even reinstalled Global 1.0, then the 1.1 patch and then once again the most current libraries. Hybrid mode and intersection lights does not seem to help. Any ideas or suggestions? Ripcord
Should I run the FTX Global uninstaller and start over?
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, FTXG doesn't affect waterbodies. Typically, people reporting land instead of water are using Ultimate Terrain X and running its respective setup tools will fix the issue by reinserting/repairing any UTX terrain.cfg entries that may have become corrupted. Cheers, Holger
Ripcord
Holger, thank you so much for this. I will try that and report back.
SkipperMac
Holger, thank you so much for this. I will try that and report back. Curious to hear if you managed to resolve this issue as I've just discovered that the tide is so far out on my California coastline that the beaches are on dry land (ie. I've got the land where the sea ought to be problem).
Ripcord
Yes, this solved the problem for me. Sorry Holger, for not reporting back. Please mark this thread resolved.
SkipperMac
Ehm ... what exactly do I need to do in the UTX setup to solve this problem? The only solution I've found is to disable the UT Exclusions layer. Yeah, I know, I'm probably being as thick as 2 short planks lol
SkipperMac
Problem solved. Discovered I was 3 updates behind the times. Even after the first update (v.1.4) my sea was all wet again off Los Angeles.
