EagleSter
The 3D lighting in FTX Global is beyond amazing and the performance is great compared to UTX. However when flying over photo real scenery is it somehow possible to use the 3D lights from FTX Global? I would love to have this. Can it be implemented somehow to work like this. Rob Newman
Unfortunately, each light you see in FTX Global is a hand placed light placed on that specific FTXG texture sheet (it's autogen, just like buildings and trees), so only gets shown when that texture is displayed. Similarly, yet slightly different is the major road lighting... It's designed to "find" then display whenever an FSX default road is found... Because photo scenery overrides both textures and vector road data, they just won't be visible...
EagleSter
I see. Will there be a way to tweak the overall lights like we were able to do using FTX Light Tweaker in the future? I would like to add some bloom and perhaps make it a lil larger, since they look a little on the small side on a 2560x1600 display.
John Venema
No you cannot tweak any of the new 3D lights (yet), but as this tech matures and settles down we do plan to add a config tool for more flexibility.
