ETOPS3 TTV
Ok, not sure what happened all was well with my computer. I just restarted it after a week of none use to do some flying. I am getting the following error when trying to run Central. Central Build Version 1.0 Build 1029 of October 2012 "The process cannot access the file 'E:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\Scripts\FTXCentral\Regions\LastAppliedConfig.ftx' because it is being used by another process." I clicked ok then get the following msg. "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. if you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. etc....." I then just closed Central and tried to run FSX and here is where things get interesting. Following FSX error below. " Flight Simulator CANNOT run without a valid Scenery.CFG. Please uninstall and reinstall Flight Simulator." Is this fixable or a subliminal message to start my upgrade to Haswell? I was hoping to wait till Christmas time to start my upgrade....! Thank you for reading and providing any help possible... Take Care,

Holger Sandmann
Hi Will, I searched our forum for "used by another process" and the few topics that came up don't shed any particular light on the issue other than people fixing it by re-installing our products and/or FSX. Clearly though, something must have changed on your system between your last successful use of FSX/FTX Central and now. I'd start by trying to think of what those changes might have been. Did you install another product or add/edit anything related to FSX? Cheers, Holger
ETOPS3 TTV
Holger, I guess you are the FS Gods hitting its time for an upgrade lol.... Thanks for doing some research. I tried searching for information to my issue with very little results. Oh well.... Hopefully that is the last time I will do battle with that issue... I already received my new Motherboard and CPU today. I am still on the fence of weather I need to get a 500GB SSD. I have a 250 GB right now with 117GB of free space. That had pretty much all of your products and various scenery and aircraft installed... Otherwise just have to buy a case and new water cooler for the CPU. You can delete this thread if you like.... Holger has given me permission to upgrade my system.... Thank you! Can't wait for more FTX/ORBX products... FTX/ORBX turning simulation into reality....
