solareagle
I don't know if the Aussie viewers can order from Newegg but if you're looking to upgrade your GPU in the near future, now would be a good time. With the $45 instant savings these GTX 260's are $219US, and they come with the EVGA Precision Overclocking utility, a lifetime warranty, the EVGA 90 day step up program, and after registering you get a free copy of Far Cry 2($50 value), which is the latest game seen in the Ultimate Eye Candy thread from the pilots lounge. With the 65nm fabrication process these cards are highly overclockable, most people are hitting 700MHz or more, and overclocking is a snap with the included tool, which does not void the warranty. With a good overclock these are nearly as fast as a GTX 280, a $420US part. 8xSQ supersampling runs flawlessly with these cards, which is the ideal setting for FSX. Out of curiousity, since most viewers here are Aussie, is this info useful for you guys, or are you not able to order from new egg? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130370

Tim Harris
I can get a GTX260 (896mb) for AUS$355, how does that compare? or a GTX280 (1gb) for AUS$599 I'm in the market for one of these atm

John Bosch
Actually, most aren't - there's a large Aussie contingent, but we get more forum posts overnight while the Aussies are sleeping, that during our daylight hours Yeah .... but .... that's because we're hard at work and not browsing the forum. Aren't we?

chumley
Well, I browse the forums while I am at work, what's wrong with that? I prefer to work while I'm browsing the forums. Subtle difference but priorities are everything. Aybe
solareagle
This is the older GTX 260 though which has been replaced by the GTX 260 Core 216 model. The 13% increase in stream processors gives about a 7% performance gain, give or take a couple percent depending on the application. I guess it's up to the buyer if the 7% performance gain justifies the price difference....
