Ian Routley
This was reported on another thread. http://www.orbxsyste...er-not-working/ The server has been accessible where I am in Aus at all times. Given that only some users had the problem, it seems likely that it was related to some sort of regional issue, and possibly corrupt or stale DNS entries. If you are having the issues reported in the thread, try resetting your internet connection, and flushing your DNS cache (EDIT: and report back) In IT dept speak: "Have you tried turning it off and then on again." Museumkeeper
Hi All I reported this in the Payware Support Forum a few days ago. Jay Kae got involved and appears to now have sorted it as it is now working normally. Seems to have been a problem with UK servers Cheers JFS
Jay Kae
No, it was not a problem with our servers, but a problem with your ISP's, the Dunkirk switch station is relaying a faulty DNS which I have told our servers to circumvent via a different upstream solving your problem while BT/Virgin/VDF can actually fix their *#^$ up

Matthew Curry
Sorry to bump this all, but I am still having the same problem with the freeware servers. Do I just have to wait until my ISP gets its act together? Or can I circumvent the problem now from my end? Matt
Jay Kae
Yours might be a different problem, can you download what you want from the Google Cloud or Orbx Cloud or can you get a friend to download it for you?
Matthew Curry
Well I'm trying to download the Portland freeware. I had no problem downloading anything else a few months ago such as KHQM. I believe I have tried all the things listed here, such as resetting things and clearing the DNS cache, but not being incredibly tech-savvy I could have messed up. The only other computers I have tried have been using the same internet router, so I will try going somewhere else to do it later today. Thanks, Matt
Matthew Curry
Tried getting someone 100 miles away with a different ISP to download it, but again no dice.
