BPL
I have encountered a strange issue in PNW. It appears that a portion of the scenery does not change with the seasons. In January, this rectangular region remains green while the surrounding regions are covered with snow. I am unsure what could be causing this. Any help would be appreciated. Holger Sandmann
Hi BPL, most likely a third-party custom seasons file that overwrites ours. Try temporarily deactivating any PNW scenery library entries at higher display priority than the FTX block of entries. Cheers, Holger
BPL
Hi, Holger. Thanks for your help. There are actually no entries in the scenery library higher than the FTX block. I tried disabling the other FTX entries that were higher than the PNW entries, but the problem persisted.
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, odd. In your "\ORBX\FTX_NA\FTX_NA_PNW08_CUSTOM\scenery" folder should be three "seasons_FTX_PNW[...].bgl files, all dated July 23rd, 2011. Can you confirm their presence and dates, please? BPL
I actually have four files. They are titled "seasons_FTX_PNW.bgl," "seasons_FTX_PNW_DEMOv2.bgl," "seasons_FTX_PNW_N.bgl," and "seasons_FTX_PNW_S.bgl." All of them have this date except "seasons_FTX_PNW_DEMOv2.bgl." Do you suppose this file could be causing the problem? The affected area is the southern portion of the demo area.
Holger Sandmann
Hello BPL, indeed, looks like you didn't uninstall the PNW demo, meaning you probably have other duplicate & outdated files too. Run a Windows search of the PNW folders for anything with "DEMO" as part of its name and delete it. Cheers, Holger
