The quality is sometimes not the best and my apologies about the order of them but posting images can be a time consuming and confusing business (that's my excuse anyway). hughp Posted July 23, 2012 Share Posted July 23, 2012 Now I know what aircraft to use for my first flight in NZSI. A flight from Pauanui to Parakai in Ants ZKNPS will be almost as good as going home. Beautiful shots, thanks for posting. Especially liked the approach shot of Thames. Also enjoyed the shot of Kaiiwi Lakes- I remember going there as a kid. Just wondering, was there an airstrip there? cyberpilot Posted July 23, 2012 Author Share Posted July 23, 2012 Thanks hughp. I used to own NPS and provided Ant with a lot of info when he was designing the Sierra for FSX. It was a great touring aircraft and I had lots of fun in it. Sold it a few months ago and now looking for something else, perhaps a Piper PA-11 Cub Special if I can get my hands on one. None in NZ and only two in Oz but plenty in the US. Yes, there is a strip at Kai Iwi and you can check it out here, along with a lot of other airstrips: www.parakaiairfield.co.nz/airfields I have a Google Earth kmz file of all the NZ airfields and many of the back country strips if you want it.
