monpol
osted Yesterday, 08:22 PM Hi, I have a problem with my fsx water textures. As you could see in the screen shot, the water textures has been replaced by land textures. I have sereval orbx Addons installed, but I dont have UTX installed. THe fresh install of the fsx doesnt solve the problem. As soon as I install orbx pruducts the water texruews become corrupted. This screen has been taken in NZTK. Could you kindly help me to find a solution please? Thank you very much
monpol
any help will be welcomed but it seems that support staff have others priorities than the costumers....
spud
Did you switch the FTX Central to Oceana before loading FSX? I do not think 21 hours is a particularly long time to wait for support help from the development team. Remember that unless you live in Oz there is quite a time difference with many places. Holger Sandmann
Hi monpol, it's possible that somehow the installation process prevents the custom terrain.cfg entries from being added. Please open your terrain.cfg file (in the main FSX folder) in Notepad or Wordpad and look for a block of entries, near the bottom of the file, with "ORBX FTX-PNW custom vectors" headings. If they exist then we need to dig deeper. Have these ORBX regions worked before on your PC or is this the first time you're trying to install them? Cheers, Holger
monpol
Hi Holger First of all, thank you very much for your assistance. I maid a new fresh fsx install and added only NZSI to the fsx as an add-on. Before the NZSI installation, everything is good. After the NZSI isntallation, the graphic become corrupted. As you advised, I checked the terrain cfg before and after installation. THe NZSI costum vectors entries exists. THe Orbx sceneris worked perfectly but after I maid a format and fresh windows install the problem emerged. // ORBX FTX-NZ custom vectors 1 of 70 [Texture.461] Name=FTX_NZ_Stream_Narrow_Vectors Color=FF01A2FF guid={D93DCF1F-55AD-4be6-9187-1AFA2667864D} Textures=FTX_NZ_stream_wi.bmp,FTX_NZ_stream_hw.bmp,FTX_NZ_stream_su.bmp,FTX_NZ_stream_su.bmp,FTX_NZ_stream_su.bmp Layout=3_PLUS_1 StripWidthMeters=6 FlattenMode=none LandClassRemapType=none ExcludeAutogen=No RenderToTexture=Yes RenderPriority=93000 Water=No
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, so if something changed after your OS/FSX re-install then it's probably related to FSX itself or file access permissions. Good to hear though that the terrain.cfg entries work. Please post the first couple of entries (General, Area.001 and Area.002) from your scenery.cfg file, situated in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX. Whith FTX Central set to Oceania, what is the date stamp of "lclookup.bgl", in {FSX}\Scenery\BASE\Scenery? Also, what "flavor" of FSX have you installed, RTM, SP1, SP2, Acceleration? Holger Sandmann
Hi there, the scenery.cfg file and lclookup.bgl seem to check out. Can you double-check that you have FSX SP2 or Acceleration installed? Cheers, Holger
