IFR to Ketchikan

Recommended Posts

This flight is from Grant Co international KMWH in CRM scenery to Ketchikan PAKT in Continental Airways 737-800. We were gonna be passing over some stunning scenery so I set cruise alt for 37'000ft. Enroute, we passed over some well known and loved locations in PNW.... Enjoy! :)

No shots of the climb out from KMWH but this caught my eye for my twitchy V key index finger. Passing over Darrington, still climbing

Over Darrington at 33'000ft

Posted Image

Passing Concrete at 34'000ft

Posted Image

Isreals Farm somewhere down there

Posted Image

Reach cruise alt 37'000ft

Posted Image

And some jaw dropping scenery as we pass over BC

Posted Image

Some more amazing scenery and mountains

From this height, can see the curvature of the Earth!

For most of this trip, I have had a 90+knot head wind, so it has taken much longer than should

Posted Image

Starting our decent 110 NM from destination, some thick cloud in the distance

Posted Image

Coming down into some dense cloud

Posted Image

17'000 ft and making a few turns to put us on approach for ILS runway 11

Posted Image

Coming down through the dense clouds, can now make out some land

Posted Image

I like to get my aircraft ready early for landing. Gear down and flaps fully extended

Posted Image

Glide slop intercepted nicely, just above approach airspeed of 140knts

Posted Image

All looking good

Posted Image

Touch down, reverse thrusters and spoilers deployed

Posted Image

Turning off the end of the runway and down the taxi way

Posted Image

Posted Image

Parked at gate, aircraft all shut down
