simulatorflyer
Super Cub loaded and ready to depart from CAA8 Invermere. A little on the heavy side, but the Cub manage just fine. Following the Kootenay Hwy to Radium Hot Springs before turning east along Sinclair / Slot canyon - still following Kootenay Hwy. Coming from the canyon into Kootenay Valley National Park. The Kootenay hwy and river can clearly been seen in this shot. Passing Millstone NW2. Elevation 9225 ft. About to pass between Mount Currie and Mount Warre - coming into Spray River Valley where the cabin is supposed to be. Palliser Warden Cabin should be right around here. And there it is. Now to find a place to set down the Cub.. Following the valley down south for a little while before turning 180. Between these trees is as good a place as any. A little bounce - but I'm down and safe. The cabin soon comes into view. Stocking up on some supplies, Time for hot coffee and a bite to eat. Map of flight. Until next time. simulatorflyer
Thanks again. The Cub really is optimal for this kind of flying. Btw: Currently reading "Bush Flying - The Romance of the North" while spending the weekend at my cabin here in Norway. Highly enjoyable aviation stories from a bush pilot veteran.
