rockliffe
Hi guys, I've just installed 74S and have been rather perplexed at the framerates I'm getting. Anyway, I wanted to reinstall the scenery as I was also getting some unpleasant stuttering that I never usually encounter. I followed, think it was a post by Tim, the correct procedure for uninstalling an airport which is pinned elsewhere on the forum. When I get to the final stage and try to run configurator.exe, nothing happens, nothing at all. If anyone can offer some help I'd be grateful, cheers... GlennH
Howard, FPS are hard on 74S, even on my rig. I have disabled the natureflow, peopleflow and static grass and now its ok. When you get up and running again, you may want to play with these CP options and see if it works for you
Wolter van der Spoel
FTXconfigurator.exe is a silent application you won't see anything happening but it does in the background reset your FTX scenery entries, so no worries it's meant to work like that
rockliffe
Ah, OK, cheers Wolter, much obliged.
fltsimguy
Hey Howard there is another thread on the topic of 74S and how hard it is on framerates, take a look at some of the recommendations that might help you.

Cheers Duncan, nice to know I'm not alone. To be honest, although the frames are pretty poor, the real culprit are blurries. Something I have not experienced before. Still, great scenery though.... GlennH
I have re-enabled peopleflow with no FPS hit. Its the natureflow and static grass that kills it. I can live without them for the improved fludity.
rockliffe
Really odd Duncan, I have everything turned off except people flow with autogen set at normal and I'm still getting blurries! I guess the system build looks as though it may happen sooner than expected!
