Capnsully
Just a quick one to show off the uncanny resemblance to real life, since I've been past here quite a few times on the way to YMML. Flying from YMML to Essendon, with this much detail...wow. Well done Martin, John and Team! >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eRlqN8v7Ds A fun blog post/mini review here: http://xsimreviews.w...d-by-orbxvideo/ Simon Edit - check out 00:43, that freeway underpass, amayziing
Martin Henare
Great stuff.. only you might want to deactivate that APX file you have overriding the Orbx YMEN APX. Thats why you have the grey tarmac covering everything. I assume you have a third party AI traffic package which has its own APX files?
Capnsully
Ok Martin, I'm a real nOOb when it comes to fsx I didn't even notice it! Yes I'd just bought Traffic X on sale, any idea what I should do? Thanks for watching, you did a great job.
Martin Henare
My Traffic X will have created it own Folder. Something like C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\My Traffic X\Scenery. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to this folder then search for all your Orbx airports they will have their ICAO code in the file names eg APX_YMEN.bgl and Move the files to safe place, my advice is to first right mouse click in the folder and make a new Folder, then just move the files into the new folder for safe keeping. Then just restart the sim again. FSX cannot have two APX files for the same airport or you will get a conflict.

amentiba
great video with some good points of view to appreciate the framerate results and textures... Will probably do mine but i have another one (surprise) to finish before
Capnsully
Tx Amentiba, this was only a quickie, not much effort needed to make it look good. It's got great potential for a more dramatic video! Urban environment and all (damn, anyone notice I still had country sounds on for Bob!)

Capnsully
Thanks Iain. For me it's interesting as I've always driven past those walls but never been able to stop off and explore. As the parking is no doubt cheaper than YMML (!!) we'll take our 5yo there for a coffee soon!
