bdrichmond
Greetings, I was helping one of the our local pilots (ID85) with his laptop and as we were BS-ing he mentioned his participation in the event mentioned above. I guess that's why these guys never worry about getting into and out of the back-country Idaho airstrips. According to him, the new record is a sub 40 ft take off and a sub 50 ft landing. Mind you, this is from an experimental Super Cub pilot that uses Nitrous oxide to "expedite climbs." Here is a link to the youtube video, his aircraft is about 2:23 silver gray Super Cub with black skull and cross bones on the tail. And I thought overclocking was a waste of money?! />http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RsBBI55Wzo&feature=related Brian
