NA Larger Airports

Recommended Posts

Hi,

With the release of the NGX, I find myself tooling around in the A2A cub much less, and flying the pmdg 737 quite a bit. I love to fly in the FTX NA regions, but I've had to largely fly around in Australia to get decent airport scenery, as I think I might have a bit of trouble squeezing a 737 into Darrington or really any of the FTX NA airports :)

I note that KPDX used to be on the list of upcoming airports, but it isn't anymore. Are there any current plans to create any larger airports in the NA region? Maybe KPDX or KBOI or something of the sort? I'd like to have a few 1-3 hour flights available with nice looking airports.

Thanks,

-stefan

As stated in this announcement, ORBX has pulled out of the large commercial airport market. We'll just keep our fingers crossed that someone else will make FTX-compatible airports. Hopefully, Vancouver V3 is still on track, so we'll at least get CYVR.

Vancouver version 3 will not have anything significant done to the airport itself exept mabey a little tweaking of hangers or such. However, this guy is rebuliding the whole airport and surrounds. check it out. Everyone send a email to this fella cause Vancouver International has never looked so good. http://jgabbert.wordpress.com/author/jonathan744/ And lets email this fella to hurry up and finish V+3 http://jonpatch.wordpress.com/ Let's encourage both Jons to get both done before Flight comes out. ::):P:D

Someone recently released a patch for FlyTampa's KSEA (FS2004) that makes it compatible with PNW. You'll need to own the FlyTampa Seattle scenery but it's screenshots look fantastic!

The same person also released a patch for a version of KPDX as well, search his site for info on that as well.

Jonathan Gabbert's CYVR is for FS9 only. Vancouver+ V3 is FSX only, and as noted does not include significant changes to CYVR default. I don't know Jonathan's plans to port to FSX, but there may be some delay, especially considering how long it has taken the FS9 CYVR to be released.
