Butch
Ladies and Gents, Due to strong growth in pixel traffic MAT (Mentxaka Air Transport) has had the opportunity to upgrade its equipment from the Cheyenne to something more modern. Coming soon... Loading up for a trip to the Outback http://members.optusnet.com.au/nicm/pc121 Takeoff http://members.optusnet.com.au/nicm/pc122 One more http://members.optusnet.com.au/nicm/pc123 This one if for the Posty in you... http://members.optusnet.com.au/nicm/pc124 One more http://members.optusnet.com.au/nicm/pc125 I am still trying to get used to this planes FM, if I follow the speed vector I find that I am staring down at the runway and it refuses to land. I guess the real difference is its a STOL design and I am used to high AOA approaches with the Cheyenne and the jets I used to frequent. I think I'll do a few freighters, move to corporate designs then do some private schemes, these guys should be done by the weekend if anyone is interested. Cheers Butch
mmglads
Butch, that looks just stunning! Look forward to you getting it up & ready for release. Well done, I just wish I had the time - and talent - to "have a go" myself, but I'll leave it to the experts & just enjoy the flights, I think! Cheers! Butch
Thanks for the great comments guys, I appreciate it. @Rob - there is a bit of a hit on fps with the PC12, (more than what I experience with the Cheyenne) I think any glass cockpit does that. Its not significant though and provided you have a capable system it should be very smooth. I've had a idea, I was going through Airliners.net and discovered there is one iconic organisation that uses the PC12 in AU, in fact is so identified with this country that to not do it would be unthinkable. So I have decided to do a 'real world' aircraft for a change. It's got me pretty fired up, in fact I'll do that one before I finish the others... stay tuned! Graham Eccleston
I assume you are referring to the RFDS when you say 'iconic' and in that regard I agree with you, but that West Australian Police Air Wing PC12 sure looks an attractive (and probably challenging) aircraft. Nick
Depending on ow close you live to jandakot airport, the RFDS PC12 is quite a common sight, and sound too.
