dogtrack
Been flying GA with Yokes for some years..... ... Was thinking of trying to get my head around using Helicopters, just for a change. Wondered if anyone had a preference with regard to Type/Make/Model of Joystick, suitable for helio flight. All new territory for me. Thanks, Arnie. Ryan Mason
X52 either standard or pro is the most widely accepted as the best for helicopters and being a guy who flies in the RW in helicopters, I can tell you it's the best you'll find, coupled with a set of CH pedals. Phil Manhart
To add to Ryan's suggestion, make sure that when you choose a joystick (the x52 Pro or not), that the centering strength is as low as you can find. Nothing makes flying a chopper harder than a joystick that is fighting you the entire time. My CH Fighterstick hasn't let me down yet, and has a centering strength comparable with the x52 Pro. Maurice_King
Nothing makes flying a chopper harder than a joystick that is fighting you the entire time. Thats why you set a trim centre button as it makes a lot of difference. Mind you I actually have a clip that removes tension from the stick allowing it to flop around meaning you HAVE to fly the sucker.
