janber
Hi Dave, You are not (no more) supposed to fly out of FTX no more !!! You have sign a contract with the "devil" !!! lol Succes Janber
mopperle
Are you using UTX? If so, just launch the UTX Setuptool (Canada, USA, Europe), change something to force FSX to rebuild the scenery database/index on Startup and everything will be fine. On the other hand this might be an interesting preview, how Lake Ontario might look in 100 years from now, due to what we are doing to gold old earth \ Otto
dmrich28
whew...something weird with UTX I guess, re-ran installer and it seems to have fixed it(thanks Holgar from previous read topic on it) Had a small panic attack over it Dave

normandean
It isn't anything wrong with UTX it is because AU Blue and Gold amend the terrain.cfg file and overwrite the UTX entries. This will not happen if you use of the FTX mode button correctly. Norman
dmrich28
hmm.I don't know all I know is I re-ran the UTX installers and it fixed it.. if it happens again I'll do the same thing
normandean
Yes, running the installer will fix. However, it can also happen with several other products, and unless you want to have to re-run the installers every time you update FTX then it is better to use the mode button. macca22au
My experience has been similar. I turn FTX OFF before I start FSX. This is very important for me, at least. If I don't it doesn't matter how many times I run the UTX setup there is no water. Turn FTX OFF, Start FSX and enjoy. If FTX is on, then you are going to be flying in Australia, or a part of the world that does not have UTX.
