Skooby
Just ran into this and thought I would try to figure out what is going on. Running AU Blue and Gold. Have not seen this anywhere else as of yet and all water elsewhere so far appears normal. Thanks, Skooby

Holger Sandmann
Hi Skooby, the ground textures are derived from aerial photography and some of them include ponds and streams. These water bodies are different from those that we place with our spatial data tools. It's possible to add an Alpha mask to give these "texture ponds" the usual FSX water properties, i.e., reflections and waves, but it greatly increases the size of the texture and it's not possible to attach flattens. Thus, while the ponds would become more visible you'd notice that they are draped on the terrain rather than flat. In BLUE Beta builds the team experimented with those Alpha channels but we decided to drop them from the release. Cheers, Holger
