sersanchez
Hello, I am returning to P3D after a looooong stay at a combat simulator. I am running P3D5.2 with Orbx Global and NA open LC Ever since I got P3D5, I am seeing all airports (I have no payware airports. Only default and only the Orbx free ones) as if they all were on a plateau on a mountain 10, 20 ft above all terrain. I have been reading the forums and I see some people have also elevation issues, but no one seems to be having the same as I do... I have also seen people using a tool for "add-on organizing"... Do I really need that? I would love to avoid installing stuff if I can. Thank you in advance Edited August 17, 2021 by sersanchez

Doug Sawatzky
Hi I see the same thing at default KSAT. This is a normal common limitation of the default simulator. At many airports, the terrain is not flat and the runway elevation is different by several feet from one end to the other and the simulator is not able to compensate, so it renders only a completely flat airport surface that does not match the changing elevation of the terrain.
