JensOle
Hi, I'm getting black/night textures at random places in the scenery. It has been traced to Orbx\FTX_Vector_P3Dv5\VECTOR_CVX. When turning this off in the scenery library the problem disapears. I have tried "verify files" and rebuilding the terrain file and then Sync simulator. No joy. Also tried renaming lclookup.bgl annd then run verify files. It is not remade. Help is much appreciated. Nick Cooper
Hello, your screen shot is typical of the problem. Are your Orbx products installed into an Orbx Central Library and what other developers' products do you have please?
JensOle
It has been installed from the main Orbx installer software and I see that it has been stored in an Orbx folder in the main p3d v52 folder. I have the Orbx tree addon and norway. 52 was installed on a brand bew pc for about a month ago.
JensOle
Just some freeware airbases and aicraft addons beside Orbx
Nick Cooper
Hello, if your Orbx Libraries are installed in the same way, then verify files for the lclookup.bgl file will work. Try renaming it first.
JensOle
It does not work as "verify files" does not remake the lclookup.bgl. I have attached a few screenshots showing how Orbx addons are installed on my computer. No joy with any of the fixes so far. JO
Nick Cooper
Hello, it does work but verify files must be done for the Orbx Libraries. 1. 2. 3.
JensOle
Ok, did just verify files on the global vector instalation and not the object library. lclookup.bgl is now regenerated. But still no joy, the black patches are still there. Any more advice?
Nick Cooper
Hello, did you run verify files for the Orbx Libraries and are they installed and active in P3D?
JensOle
Yes, thats how the lclookup.bgl files was regenerated. It was not regenerated by verify files for global vector, but from verify files from Orbx Library

JensOle
Nick, Any other advice? It only happens when Global VECTOR_CVX is active. Best regards Jens-Ole
Doug Sawatzky
Hi Jens-Ole Please post a copy of your “scenery.cfg” file and the “add-ons.cfg” and the “scenery_add-ons.xml” file found at C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5. Please note: Do not open the files and copy and paste the contents, just attach the files.
JensOle
Files are attached! add-ons.cfg Scenery.cfg scenery_add-ons.xml
Doug Sawatzky
Thanks Your FTX entries are in the wrong position in your scenery library in relation to your other addons.. Please use the insertion point tool in Orbx Central and set them as per the below image. In your case, choose "Oscarsborg" as your lowest non Orbx 3rd party entry. JensOle
Doug, Still no joy, the night textures patches are still there. I redid all the other solutions as well, but no change either. I have installed the latest 5.2 hotfix today as well, it does not impact the issue. add-ons.cfg Scenery.cfg scenery_add-ons.xml

Doug Sawatzky
Thanks Your scenery library order is now correct. I didn't notice the first time I looked, but I do not see "Orbx Objectflow" installed anywhere, so please install it and ensure it is activated in your P3D Add-ons menu. Then please do a verify files of all of your Orbx products.
JensOle
Doug, Is there a separate install of "Orbx Objectflow"? I cannot see it mentioned anywhere? Help is very welcome!
Doug Sawatzky
Hi Jens-Ole Yes, if you look under "My Products" and scroll to near the bottom,
JensOle
Copy, I have installed it. I cannot see any Orbx option in the addon menu on top of the simulator screen, only FSUIPC. It is not in the scenery library either. No change so far, but it might be some fuss with the instalation as mentioned above. JO
Doug Sawatzky
You can find the Addons menu by looking at the below images.
JensOle
Copy, Object flow is active in the sim. But the dark patches are still there.. Can it be something directly linked with the vector file? The patches go away when VECTOR_CVX is not active. JO
Doug Sawatzky
I highly doubt it is a Vector issue, but you could try a full uninstall and reinstall of Vector. Also, please have a close look at the below topic and follow it's process carefully.
Nick Cooper
Hello, it looks like you are trying to use Vector without Global base. This will not work, Vector is an accessory to Global Base and needs it to be installed first.
JensOle
Nick and Doug, Thank you! That fixed it. Sorry for not seeing "the small text" about needing global base. All fine now and looking superb! Thanks again for excellent support!
