Serious problems with openLCEurope in the Geneva LSGG area.

Recommended Posts

I believe that there is a problem with openLC Europe scenery in the Geneva LSGG area. This has been widely discussed, in particular on Aerosoft and FSDT Forums, both of whome offer LSGG Airport Scenery.

In P3D v5 I have made reapeated attempts to land at LSGG, encountering significant stutters on approach strating at 7 miles and then a CTD every attempt as also reported by others.

Uninstalled Open LC Europe and problem vanishes. Re-install and it returns.

Somethig very odd is going on in your openLC scenery in that area I'm confident.

Please may we have an update so that I can re-install.

Thanks in hopeful anticipation.

I can confirm this problem and would like to quote one of my issues which I posted on a different forum:

Three times flying from GCTS to LSGG on BELUS arrival route, three CTD somewhere between CBY and GVA VOR's.

I also had a CTD when flying over/past Geneva during a flight from Zürich to Malaga.
I tried LSGG from two publishers, Aerosoft and FSDT. Both had the same issues. I have uninstalled LSGG and don't fly there anymore due to the issues :(

Im on P3D v5.1 latest version (HF1)

Same issue here - flying ZRH-PMI and around GVA vor P3D CTD.

Have tried it with Aerosoft GVA and default on - both lead to crashes.

this is a common issue its been raised also with aerosoft numerous times on numerous posts/topics with the infamous terrain.dll CTD  at LSGG

the advice has always been to lower the amount of autogen.  now wether this is an Orbx LC issue or not im not sure but id love to get to the bottom of it.

I had to uninstall the airport as my remedy.  This is not an Orbx issue.  This is an Aerosoft issue that has persist for a long time.

Hi, I don't have a CTD but bad stutters when around the threshold of runway 4 at Geneva. I uninstalled Aerosoft Geneva scenery and I GET THE STUTTERS AS WELL! If I deactivate Orbx OpenLC, they are gone. So the problem is not with Aerosoft, but somewhere in OpenLC...
