Nick Cooper
Hello, that is not my experience. Please try reinstalling the product.
RichP
No luck Nick. Something in the KA 350 update did this, my aircraft was working perfectly until that update thru Orbx central...

You can install or uninstall XML Tools using Orbx Central. Look for it at the bottom of the list when you click on My Products. Saw another user had exact same problem August last year and I pasted your response above. So I uninstalled KA350 from Orbx, downloaded installer from Milviz, used key in ini file, reloaded aircraft, still has corrupt cockpit displays... i also do not see XML tools at the bottom of My Products... dont know where to go from here... Nick Cooper
Hello, XML Tools should be the last entry in the My Products list. Looking at Milviz FAQs, that is perhaps why the gauges are not working.
RichP
well its not there...

RichP
downloaded and installed, still the same.... looked at the milviz faq, have the exact coding in DLL.xml as shown... It must be something else...
RichP
just noticed when i opened up the XML installer, there is the installer.exe and a file XMLTools64.dll. Am I supposed to put that somewhere???
Nick Cooper
Hello, if you run the installer it will put the dll file in the right place for you.
RichP
Its already in the P3D folder, false alarm. Have no idea where to go with this Nick, hope you do.
RichP
XML Tools is NOT in my product list.
Nick Cooper
No, I see that it is not but it is installed and should therefore allow the gauges to work. Have you installed the aircraft again? This is it, in P3D v4 and with the same xmltools dll file installed.
RichP
This is getting crazy...just uninstalled the 350 and was going to re-install and now the key in the P3D root folder\Milviz\MVKA350i.ini is not there.... I just used it earlier in the day to reload the airplane and now its gone...

Nick Cooper
Hello, as you are now using their software, perhaps you could approach Milviz with the problem?
RichP
Thanks for the help Nick. I fied my problem by switching to the legacy panel files. Looks good and works normally.
snoopy41
Had loads of problems with this 350i package from Orbx in the end went to Milviz talked to Osi (very helpful) uninstalled Orbx 350i and MVAMS used their installer and that sorted the problems. Problems were Battery not working Pitch axis not moving on cockpit yoke Could not get my Honeycomb throttle set to work. Originally I had problems with textures but realised had not updated content from 4.3 so sorted that and did scenery as well so now P3D is all 4.5 not just client. Milviz suggested the .xml file was missing ,I guess it was but their install sorted that Can you not update your installer package ? as using Central is much easier. Anyway I am sorted now. Did not have to use legacy panel. Rig is I7700 cpu twin gpu 1070ti running 4 screens and 1060 running 3 touch screens, 16gb ram for P3D 4.5 run accu-feel, RXP 750, AS4, ASCA, spad.next, FSUIPC6
Pegaso
Sorry to pick up this thread again: Orbx's KA350i installer STILL DOESN'T WORK because xml tools are not contained. And Nick's download link is for P3D v4 only, not v5. Only Milviz's installer works. Quite a pity for a reseller like Orbx. Nick Cooper
Hello, this is what should and here, does happen. I have asked if there is a reason why it apparently does not for some customers but I have not yet received a reply.
Nick Cooper
In the meantime, there is a workaround. This text should be inserted into C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\dll.xml, below the last </Launch.Addon> line. Quote <Launch.Addon> <Name>XMLTools64</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>XMLTools64.dll</Path> <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName> <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName> </Launch.Addon> XMLTools64.dll is to be found inside the download here and it should be copied into the P3D v5 root folder.
