Ken Q Posted October 13, 2020 Share Posted October 13, 2020 Rodger Pettichord et al. have just published the third volume in the ROORD series, this one following the exploits of the "Rubber Ducks" in the post war, Cold War period. A great read! One of the characters, Rubin, has a particular knack with animals, and on one instance when the "Ducks" flight of four make an emergency landing in the African desert, this little Sand Cat comes to Rubin. I'm not going to give away any more about the circumstances - read the book. However the Sand Cat is an amazing creature, and incredibly cute.
