CZZ
Using P3Dv5 HF2, TEarth SoCal, and Nivida 1060 (6GB). If I Use KBUR or fly near Griffith Park I get a CTD when VRAM usage approaches 4.8 GB of VRAM out of 5.2 GB available. This is with all of Hollywood-Burbank config settings at off/disabled. And Dynamic texture streaming is off or on If I depart Van Nuys and turn toward the problem area I get a CTD. If I depart Van Nuys and turn away from the problem area I do not get a CTD. Nick Cooper
Hello, can you try completely disabling shadows in P3D v5 please?
CZZ
Nick: Thank-you for replying. Shadows are already disabled. I wonder if the PBR disable switch is not functional?
CZZ
Nick: Using the P3D Cessna 177 at a standstill on the runway at KBUR I get 4.3 VRAM usage just after starting P3D. If I use my joy stick to look left it jumps to 4.7 and a CTD.
CZZ
Nick: Previous post and this post are using runway 15 at KBUR with PBR disabled. Previous post Dynamic texture streaming was disabled. This post: Dynamic texture streaming is enabled. I can fly just beyond the Griffith Park area and then the "Abort" and CTD situation occurs. BTW: I have the other 4 USA TEarth programs sans any issues.
Wacopolumbo
Hello, I have problems with Burbank too. When I fly into or out of there, I get a message that my graphics card has "hung up" and prompts me to close P3DV5. I'm running an Alienware R9 (i7-9700, 16GB RAM) with NVIDIA GeFrce RTX 2080 Super and have no problems with any other scenery. -Jody
Nick Cooper
Hello, although it does not address the problem, it is worth noting that it is quite possible to invoke the graphics card driver error message anywhere in the virtual world, simply by using high settings or a high screen resolution. For example, using the Nvidia DSR to replicate 4k on a 2k screen, I am unable to fly for more than a few moments anywhere at all. This experience is not replicated in FSX, P3D v4, MSFS, X Plane 11 or Aerofly. Of course none of them are trying to use Direct X 12.
