airbadger
Seems like they aren't. The East Santa Cruz strip, e.g. isn't really there, except for a sort of blurry brown patch with too many elevation changes to make it suitable.
Misha Cajic
Hi, They aren't included, as in the original scenery package their main attraction was the large photoreal area. Plus, there's no reliable way as of yet to include custom mesh, and since the airstrips sit within valleys/on the water's edge, this would pose a problem with their elevations, as you pointed out. ravenn22
I came on the forums to ask the exact same question... Their default Santa Rosa I - Becher's Bay is showing as paved w services, and listed as KISS (ICAO) - was going to bug it with Zendesk. I haven't really messed with the SDK yet - so it's not possible to flatten areas tagged with runways / taxiways in their tools? ( ie suppress or modify terrain data ) There's 6 - 8 strips on the islands I've love to fly into from SBA ( well, 2 look pretty dodgy and overgrown ) it'd be nice to have them in a database so you could start there as well. ravenn22
I finally got around to taking another look at the islands after the US update - did the data improve with the update? It also looks like they added a couple more airports on the island, or I'm remembering wrong. Anyways - the island data looks good enough that I might get motivated to add / fix / improve the airstrips. Asobo's airport codes for Bechers and San Miguel appear to be wrong ---- Santa Cruz I - abandoned (?) https://goo.gl/maps/nixDnakBBhJ281wVA 34.0279558,-119.5425375 Dry Grass 44CA Santa Cruz I - Santa Cruz Ranch https://goo.gl/maps/NfxwHDLjaXozciGLA 33.9890426,-119.6815635 Grass CA97 Santa Cruz I - Christy Airstrip https://goo.gl/maps/cGZYKtodnNwjq4xa8 34.0175845,-119.8527266 Grass KSZN Santa Cruz I - Santa Cruz Island https://goo.gl/maps/1dxSPa8ig3Xn7toc8 34.0558742,-119.915929 Grass KISS Santa Rosa I - Bechers Bay https://goo.gl/maps/M2M3G9fxDGVEsvTUA 33.9958972,-120.0469593 Dirt ---- Santa Rosa I - abandoned (?) https://goo.gl/maps/uDmJCZDaDpwKS7EBA 33.9089627,-120.105212 Overgrown KBUE San Miguel I - Point Bennett https://goo.gl/maps/A3pivnKb9qtQHaSL8 34.0368546,-120.3504568 Dirt / Grass KLOP San Miguel I - Ranger Station https://goo.gl/maps/JA751UsL28gvwnKu6 34.0432779,-120.4131418 Grass also @Misha Cajic updated the oil rig placements around SBA using the new default model - np to give you the coordinates or xml if you have any KSBA updates planned in the near future. FSRobert
I for one would love to see this implemented. More to California the better.
