jfwharton Posted May 30, 2020 Share Posted May 30, 2020 I recently purchased P3D V5 and tried to have both V4.5 and V5 installed at the same time. This proved to be disasterous and I ended up having to reinstall V5 and all of my scenery and aircraft and remove P3D V4. But when I open Orbx Central it still had P3D V4 listed. I have removed all of the folders I could find for V4 but Central still shows it. How can it remove P3D V4 from Central? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Nick Cooper Posted May 30, 2020 Share Posted May 30, 2020 Orbx Central uses the following to detect P3D v4: A registry entry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\AppPath that points to a folder that contains Prepar3D.exe. If both of these are present, it will detect P3D v4. If one of them is missing, it will not. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jfwharton Posted May 30, 2020 Author Share Posted May 30, 2020 Ah thank you. I found that key and saw that somehow the path for V4 was the same as V5. Which explains why things got so messed up.
