DavidMcDonough
With Hotfix 1, I've noticed my trees have this blueish haze around them when any part of them is in the same shot as the sky. Not sure if this is an Orbx thing or some bug with Truesky but I get it with true sky enabled and disabled.
DavidMcDonough
After further testing, I put the default trees back in, and tried with TrueSky enabled and disabled, and the blueish haze is still there: UPDATE: Likely not an Orbx issue but feel free to respond if you have the same problem. With true sky, there is an awful flicker that occurs with the clouds. Orbx Trees: Default trees:
Nick Cooper
Hello, this has seemingly not yet been fixed. It is mentioned in this topic: https://Orbx.to/v5-issues
pilot100
Turn on the beta atmospheric option on the graphics page in V5 and it, the blue edges, goes away. So is a P3D issue which they will fix in due corse I expect. Brian
michaelth
Now that LM has released their HF1 for P3Dv5.1, please Orbx be so kind and remove the blueish Halo from your TreesHD. Michael
Nick Cooper
Hello Michael, the problem seems to be restricted to when a certain kind of cloud is behind the tree. This is not the same thing as before and it might require more work, either from Orbx or LM. I will ask. In the meantime, could you provide a screen shot of what you see please? Click on the image to see the original Please note that in order to see all of the fixes implemented by LM, one must reinstall all three components of P3D. michaelth
Nick, P3Dv5.1 HF1 Client, Content and Scenery - I did a complete install. This is EDDL with Orbx TreesHD (only slight blueish halo): This is Orbx LGKO (handplaced trees; more pronounced halo): Btw, EA on/off makes no difference. Nick Cooper
Hello, I do see this with EA switched off, but not so with it switched on, which was, as I understood it, the original problem? Here are two short videos. First, EA off: bandicam 2020-11-20 15-15-08-481.mp4 Same place, EA on: bandicam 2020-11-20 15-15-39-993.mp4 However, I do not see this effect with HD Trees and Terraflora disabled. I will ask. Nick Cooper
Hello, Orbx LGKO is in fact Gaya LGKO. I can see that the trees used there are also subject to the same blue outline, in the same way and even when HD Trees is disabled.
michaelth
Nick, on my system, it is also present with EA on. It is especially visible in VR. And yes, it does not only affect TreesHD: To a lesser extent, it is there with other trees, too. Michael
Nick Cooper
Hello, there may be more variables than at first thought. I don't have VR and so I cannot comment but I also cannot see any blue with EA on, or any blue around the default trees in either mode.
