Hi,

I am an elderly newbie to Orbx. I am running X Plane 11 on a 64 bit Windows machine and flight-simming is super important to me as my mobility declines. I am impressed by Orbx products and bought "True Earth South of GB" last Saturday (transaction ID / receipt number 5e6d0cdfb2e25). I followed the installation guidance, including installation of Orbx Central but after I paid for the purchase, no download window appeared and no error message appeared.

I searched the Forum and saw several references to problems if the default path was not accepted (My XPlane folder is on my  1Tb SSD D: drive but I selected my 4Tb E: drive for installation of the scenery - maybe this was my mistake. I am also not familiar with the complexities of symbolic links so I am truly stuck. I would like to install all three GB products but hesitate to try the next one in case the same thing happens. The final content of the Central log  is shown below. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Best regards,

Ken Pender

In Orbx Central have you clicked on My Products? If nothing is there then go to Orbx Direct and log into your account. Once logged in then click on Account and you should see all the items you have purchased when clicking on Info. Click on Download with Orbx Central.

To install out of the XP directory do the following:

Create the Library in your 4TB drive and name it like Orbx addons or Orbx TEGB. Then create a Library by going in Orbx Central/Settings/Libraries/ Create new library and give it the same name that you have created in the 4TB drive. Then give the location of that Library & Drive. Then install TEGB.

Hi Jon,

Many thanks for trying to help. I found the product by following your directions and created an Orbx addons directory on my empty 4Tb E: drive. Then I went to Create new Library and named it Orbx addons but when I tried to save the library I got a red error message "Orbx was unable to scan certain locations on your system".

I decided to try the simpler option of downloading via Orbx Central to my XPlane directory on my 1Tb SSD D: drive but when the installation page came up I noticed that the version listed was for Prepar3D, not XPlane!!

As I don't have Prepar3d I obviously did not choose it so I would appreciate any advice on where to go from here.

Best regards,

Ken
