GSalden
Yesterday I installed TE GB S/C/N and today I purchased FTX England too. In the Addon Orhanizer I see an Object Flow that exists in FTXCentral. Should it still be there now I have FTXCentral uninstalled and Central installed ? Central says an Object Flow is installed in the main Library. And is it correct that I see no Object flow entry pointing to Central ?
Nick Cooper
Hello, if you have two instances of objectflow, neither of them will work. You should delete the objectflow 2 folder from the Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons folder. The second instance should then go away the next time you start P3D. However, you will need to install objectflow with Orbx Central to replace it if you have not already.
GSalden
Thanks Nick. I have deleted the old FTX version. Also reinstalled the one from Central. Is it correct that I do not see an Object Flow entry after install with Central as there is none now ?
Nick Cooper
You should see an Objectflow entry in the in-game Options\add-ons menu and it must be ticked.
GSalden
No Objectflow entry. If the place for it is : Addons menu then it should be present also in Documents\ Prepar3D v4 Addons, but it is not. So I looked into the main Library and I have found it. ( see screenshot ) So I made a new Orbx ObjectFlow folder with the xml entry as it is inside the Objectflow folder and put it into Documents\Prepar3D v4 Addons Now the entry shows up at the insim Addons. Nick Cooper
Hello, please do not introduce your own theories. It does indeed not need to be in Documents\ Prepar3D v4 Addons. If you just install it into your Orbx Central Library, also a discovery path, then it will appear in the P3D v4 add-ons menu and work as intended. If you doubt my advice, please read up on discovery paths in the SDK.
GSalden
Nick, like with TE GB where there was no GB Libraries entry after installation, now there was no Objectflow entry after installation. Luckily with your help I was able to find the folders and could add them manually. However, they should have been automatically added to the Library in the first place. Why that did not happen I do not know... regards, Gerard
