Hello I also fell foul of this 'gotcha'. May I politely suggest that a simple message could be placed on the page of any airport that requires Orbx Central that this is now needed - it would save a lot of hassle ? Nick Cooper
Hello, the simple message is there on every single product page. Click to enlarge the image as necessary This is a copy and paste of the text. You will see that the words Orbx Central are in fact also a link. Compatibility General You will need Orbx Central to download and install this product. Orbx Central runs on Windows 7+, macOS and Linux. An internet connection is also required. My apologies. However, a brief peruse of the forums suggests that this message has been missed by people - including myself ;-)
Nick Cooper
Hello. You are quite correct. The new installer has a very similar name to the existing one. Add to that the fact customers have also given FTX Central numerous names of their own including Orbx Central and it soon becomes clear why "Orbx Central" is not always recognised as being new and different. We have added the link to each product page and I placed an explanatory pinned topic at the top of the FTX Central support forum, where customers might go first when faced with a problem with FTX Central. Otherwise, there is not much else to be done except to answer the support requests such as your own. It is why we are here.
