Kaktus
Hi all, Am I blind or is there no forced migration possible with the new ORBX Central? I need to do it and used FTX Central is that safe to use because FTX says updates are available and ORBX Central does not.
caleb1
this is the responce I got when I asked this: But when I verified the files as suggested in that link, I did not get any results. I am also in your position and need to do a remigration, but I have already uninstalled FTX central:

All back to normal here - you may want to consider doing the same. The only thing that's bugging me is that there is no way to do that with ORBX Central. Is that an oversight or intentional? Ok, if it worked for you I might do that as well. 1 hour ago, Nick Cooper said: Hello, did you read the linked topic? Verifying the files did not work for me. Could there be a very slight difference between migration in FTXC and Orbx libs verifying files in ORBXC?

Or will things conflict and I wont be able to get updates?
Nick Cooper
You can continue with FTX Central but already there are a couple of products that you cannot buy without it. They are for X Plane 11 though.
caleb1
Now when I open FTX central I see that there are updates available for some products but I don't see that in Orbx central. Same as described in OP. I would prefer to continue using FTX central as before, but I dont want there to be any conflicts and mess anything up. Thanks for any input. Nick Cooper
In short, if the products are working as expected, leave them be. If you flit from FTX Central to Orbx Central and back, because they each use a different way of recording product versions, products may well appear not to be up to date, even though they are. Thanks nick, sounds good. so as long as the products were released before orbx central was introduced, then I am good with FTXC, right? Its just the products released after orbx central require orbx central...
Nick Cooper
Near enough, yes. The newest release, Belgrade, has been made available in FTX Central but once Orbx Central has settled down, the plan is to make all the products require it to install. Nick Cooper
Eventually, all products, Orbx Central is a replacement for FTX Central and in due course, support for FTX Central will end. This has already happened with the first two versions of FTX Central, it is a natural progression and there is no reason to suppose that it will cause problems.
