Hello Orbx,

So I updated my Orbx Global Base Pack this morning (08.08.2019) to version 1.4.2.

It looked successfully, however when I boot up my P3D, then these messages pop-up.

I know I can press "Yes" and they won't re-appear. However I am afraid that it will break more, as it has already broken....

Hello,

if you have Australia v2, you can delete those scenery library entries

Hello Nick!

Hello @Mitchell Williamson,

I am so sorry for the lack of response here.

I actually expected to receive an email when I got a response, however I didn't get that.

Anyways, so I did click your button under help, but it didn't change anything.

I have attempted to "Verify files" in all my addons form Orbx. Hasn't done anything either.

Since I have gotten another problem as well now that looks really wired (See attachment)

That happens everywhere.

I use the "Main libary" function and the old way of doing things with scenery.cfg (No add-on.xml)

Looking forward to hear from you!

(Will keep a better eye out now!)

Best regards,

Sveiny

Hello,

Initially my ORBX products were installed inside P3DV4 with FTX Central 3.

in the ORBX Central User guide at the [Migrating a product to a Central library] paragraph you specify that "Unfortunately, due to technical limitations, Orbx Global Base Pack can’t be migrated into a library".

Does this mean ?:

1-that FTX Global must stay inside P3DV4?

2-that it can be moved outside P3DV4 without being in an ORBX Library

Thanks for your support

Hello,

welcome to the forums.

As things stand today.

1. Yes

2. No

Hey Nick,

I thought with 4.5HF2, isn't the issue fixed by Lockheed Martin?

Thanks

Perhaps it is but Orbx Central has not been updated.

By the way, the only way to install Global Base outside P3D v4 will be to first make a

clean reinstall of P3D v4.

I have a brand new clean p3d4.5hf2 - just waiting for the Central to allow Global to be installed outside once again.

Any help would be appreciated.

I just did a fresh install of P3d v4.5 HF2 and Orbx Central stated that i must install Global Base into the sim, any way around this?

this is a fresh install , no addons.

I specifically did a fresh install  to move all folders out of the root sim.

Using central 4.0.15

Hi,

That's why I asked Nick for my requests [1] and [2].
So it seems that for the moment any addon can be installed outside P3DV4.5 HF2 excluding FTX Global BASE Pack.

I would say that this is a little unfortunate because this has always been the operating philosophy of P3DV4:

Engine alone and addon around it.

Hello,

possibly it is a little unfortunate but as has been made very clear,

there has been a problem, apparently only fixed by the latest P3D

"hotfix".

I am sure that if this problem really is fixed, then Orbx Central will

be updated to allow the external installation, as it originally was.
