Puma748
Hi Just landed at North Ronaldsay (Orkney Islands) and was expecting to see grass runways. They looked more like concrete but turned out to be loose gravel of some sort (the type you'd see in run off areas at the end of runways to slow wayward planes down quickly). Taking off was a real nightmare because it was so difficult to gain any speed. I might have completely messed up but these gravel tracks were exactly where the runways should have been. The runway I used was 10/28 but they all looked the same.
Nick Cooper
Hello, TEGB does not include any airports. Your problem is with an X Plane 11 default airport.

A reasonable version of EGEN is available from the link I give. Interesting to read the notes about the airport on the download page. http://www.pterosaur.org.uk/Xplane10/OrkneysXP11/EGEN_NorthRonaldsay_XP11.html Here is a pic of the airport showing the compacted gravel runways.
