Quietman
This is a photo from P3d showing the Socal region. As you can see I am getting different colors for water. I believe that it is from the region that is causing this. (I think). If it is is there a solution to get the water blue instead of black. Or the texture that I choose with Rex texture. All of the regions that I own are the same way.
Doug Sawatzky
Hi In the Vector config tool, under the "water features" please uncheck the "Frozen Surface (in Winter only) option. Also in some of the other regions control panels there is an option to select for frozen water.

Doug Sawatzky
My next idea would be to delete the shaders folder, found at C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4, and restart the sim to rebuild them.
Quietman
Doug, I figured out if I unchecked "FTX_NA_SCA08_CUSTOM" in the scenery folder I am able to get the correct colors. I do not have the knowledge to narrow it down to a specific bgl file that may be the culprit.
Doug Sawatzky
I would then reactivate it and then do a "Verify Files" from FTXC3 for that product.
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, the custom waterclass textures are deliberately darker than the default set as, with both FSX and P3D, the default textures are often considered to be too light blue; though, obviously, the actual appearance depends on a number of factors. Here's a thread with instructions for manually deactivating our custom water textures: https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/91251-fsx-water-issues-rex4-orbx-openlc-orbx-england/?tab=comments#comment-832558 Cheers, Holger
