I decided to take "Bob" for a stroll from the airstrip to the hotel. Problem was, he ran out of puff at the first slope and got stuck. Could only cope with the flat. You could also try using slew mode ( "Y" key) and slew around. Another good option for exploring a scenery is the R22 helicopter. Just be sure to turn crash detection off - just in case.
