linenberglance
X-plane is lacking water texture, worldwide the same color creates the lack of a tropical feel. I know many would love to buy a world water add on that adds appropriate water colors around the world. This would make tropical airports feel tropical. Aqua and brighter water colors mixed together, maybe coral and darker colors in appropriate areas would be an amazing add on to x-plane. Here is default St Maarten a tropical location that is ruined by x-plane's single water color Real life
Orbx Flyer
It looks to me like you also do not have your TEXTURES at MAX. That also affects what you see. With MAX, you also get waves, and sparkle.
david broome
Xplane water does need an overhaul. While fidelity has slowly been raised across scenery the water has remained stubbornly last gen. Hopefully it will get an upgrade to go with Vulkan.
linenberglance
with max water settings there are more details, yet still the gloomy water color worldwide. Overall a miserable experience in any tropical location, max settings or not.

FlyAgi
12 hours ago, linenberglance said: yet still the gloomy water color worldwide This you can fix partially. Go for the file X-Plane 11\Resources\bitmaps\world\water\any.png and create a backup of the file. Then open the file in PhotoShop or Gimp and change it's color to your liking. You can create many different colors for different regions but you will have to switch the manually by renaming or copy and paste.
Longranger241
Well, in fact Ben has a map with the water colors of the whole world, but when they tried to implement it, they found a nasty shader bug.
