Stu Antonio
Hi there, I recently bought and added Germany South and Global Vector to my FTX Global and Open LC installations. Then I noticed - and I'm not quite sure if it has anything to do with that - that the taxiway and runway markings get verry strange and blurry after several meters/with greater distance. Please see my screenshot attached (taken at taxi2gate's EDDM). I have the same issue on several other payware airports.... I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that before I installed germany south. .... Can anyone help me out? BG Stu
Scott Harmes
Hi, Please try turning off the GES files for EDDM and see if that helps. Add .off to the end of the following files: ADE_FTX_GES_EDDM.bgl ADE_FTX_GES_EDDM_CVX.bgl FTX_GES_EDDM_objects.bgl They can be found in "......\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ORBX\FTX_EU\FTX_EU_GES_05_SCENERY\scenery" Inside that folder, do a search for EDDM to find the three files. Cheers, Thanks for your reply. I already did this when I installed Germany South (because of different elevation problems etc). I also made sure that EDDM scenery has a higher priority than the ORBX stuff. It‘s weird, because all other textures look just fine, and when I look from above, the taxiway lines are sharp as well. It‘s only at a lower angle that the lines get blurry after apprx. 10 meters.... ?
Scott Harmes
Are your P3D settings the same as previously? In particular Anisotropic Filtering? Try a reinstall of the affected airport/s. Cheers,
Stu Antonio
Yea, the settings are all the same. Besides, I tried several settings and also a reinstallation of the airport. No luck. But maybe it‘s the scenery itself, I don’t know.....
