Transcon
Hi, After about 20 or so failures while using your FTX Central GUI to download Trueearth, I decided to try manual download. That file was corrupt more than once, when I try to copy the URL I get nothing. How do I get getright to accept this download from ORBX? Doug Sawatzky
Hi Sorry, I don't know about GetRight, is it a browser extension? If so, don't bother with it....regardless, to get a different download result, you will need to clear your browser cache. Below is a good free DL manager, just beware in case it wants to install additional antivirus/antimalware like a lot of freeware does these days. https://www.freedownloadmanager.org/ Browser extension DL managers do not work for this. Alternatively, you can also use a download manager (to help avoid corrupt downloads) such as IDM and do a manual download from your Orbx Direct account web page (this is where a download manager works great) and click on the account button top of page, then find and click on the product info, and in the bottom line small print there is a manual download option, down load it and save it in a named folder, then open FTXC3 and select it, and click on the orange "installation options" and select "Install from my manually downloaded .zip". as per the below links. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/127395-manual-download-of-products/ http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/125435-how-to-install-from-an-orbx-direct-downloaded-zip-file/ Cheers Doug
Transcon
Hi, Get right is a download manager, it's one of the ones recommended here at ORBX. Problem is when I go to my account and try to get the URL to place into get right, all I get is what is shown below for the URL. For the second link, I know how to install the zip, I just need the file. This is the URL link I get for my download.https://orbxdirect.com/account/info/nld-hd/download Note: If I click on the ORBX manual link, the file downloads. But not with Get Right, ends up corrupt. If I try to get the url from the manual download link there is no file. Seems to be going outside ORBX and it's looking for another user name or password. Doug Sawatzky
You should be able to right click on the blue Manual Download button and select download with getright?
Transcon
Hi, There is no option for get right. Thanks
Doug Sawatzky
Then you will need to ask getright for support...I use IDM and there is an option, maybe it's just a matter of settings in your getright app?
Transcon
Hi, Okay, figured out how to get get right to work. I must use IE and not firefox. BUT, once I dump it to get right after I right click, I get the next screen. How can I fill in a form or login?. Thanks
Doug Sawatzky
I have no idea, my guess is that is an IE thing....I would lose IE and look in the GetRight settings/preferences for anything along the lines of browser integration and select Firefox or better yet Chrome. https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/pfvdJ_0YKq4 https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/rw1TfUrlA44
Transcon
Hi, Thanks Doug, I'll keep looking. If anyone else out there has seen this issue and has a fix... Please chime in. Thanks
Doug Sawatzky
I added a couple of links to my above post, looks like if you integrate it into firefox, chrome will pick it up.
Nick Cooper
Hello, Getright appears to have a good guide for browser integration. http://getright.com/firefox.html
Transcon
Hi Guys, Hi Nick, I followed the guide, I used their Firefox checkbox, it didn't work. BUT, after a few more hours of playing I have the fix for those having issues with Firefox. In order to download from ORBX via Firefox this is what I had to do. Press manual download and let it begin inside fire fox, go up to the download icon on the upper right side and open the downloads. Once this is done, you'll be able to right click on the download and get the full download link. Problem solved. Thanks guys
