Nick Cooper
Hello, try the Force Migration. If that doesn't work, install the Orbx libraries and if that doesn't work, install FTX Global Base again. Thanks.
MARKH55
nick I have run the force migration a couple of times I have the latest orbx libraries installed do I need to uninstall libraries and reinstall and if so how do I do that same with ftx global base do I just delete the folder?
Nick Cooper
Hello, in each case, do not uninstall but instead go to ORBX\User documents\Versions. For the libraries, delete ORBXLIBS.TXT. For FTX Global Base delete FTX_GLOBAL_BASE_PACK.txt. In each case, this will make FTX Central show the product as not installed and you can run the installer again. All the files will be checked and any that are missing will be replaced.

Nick Cooper
Hello, please look in the main folder of your simulator. You will see an ORBX folder. Navigate to ORBX\User documents\Versions and you will see these text files.

Nick Cooper
You would need to delete the files with FTX Central closed and then open FTX Central. You would also need to be using FTX Central v3.

Nick Cooper
Could you be deleting the files from the one ORBX folder and then running FTX Central for the other simulator? Each of your installations will have a separate ORBX folder. When you start FTX Central, I assume it offers you a choice to run for either FSX or P3Dv4? MARKH55
ok let me check to see if I can find the other orbx folder for fsx steam and yes u are right it gives me a choice of what to run
MARKH55
ok nick I took out the deleted files from fsx steam and it did show that I need to do the down loads and that's wht I am doing know will replace the files I took out for preparv4 or do I need to copy them back in? by the way thank you very much for the help
Nick Cooper
If your P3D v4 is working properly, you can replace the files, either with the ones you kept, if you did or with those two from your FSX\ORBX\User documents\versions folder when it has finished updating. If you prefer, let it do the update as well, it can't do any harm.
MARKH55
ok I am stumped I ran the trouble shooter in fsx after I down loaded it and says no files are missing that's great the I run the v4 trouble shot after I put the files back in and I still give me the same message that I am missing files in in global
Nick Cooper
Perhaps take them out again, let FTX Central update P3D v4 and the problem should be solved.
MARKH55
ok I will try that
MARKH55
nope no luck with that says library and global are installed oh well we tried
Nick Cooper
You have seen that it works with FSX, you didn't say if FTX Central offers you a choice between FSX and P3D when you start it. If it is not seeing P3D, it will not be reading the P3D v4 Versions folder and will therefore not see that you have removed the text files. MARKH55
yes it does give me a choice of either preparv4 or fsx steam I been hitting the preparv4
Nick Cooper
If you make sure that you go to the ORBX\User documents\Versions folder inside your P3D v4 root folder and delete the two text files from there, starting FTX Central for P3D v4 will give you the result I posted. That is exactly what I did to create the screen shot.
