BrzI
My Orbx folder alone on FSX is sitting at 100GB. The whole setup is on an SSD. I have now added P3Dv4 to the same disk and as you can imagine a 232 GB SSD is not going to have the capacity to hold everything I intend to throw at it. With just the base P3Dv4 install and the Orbx P3Dv4-compatible products I am sitting at under 38GB left. I was thinking of moving some folders (maybe the Orbx folder) to another disk and symblinking - via junction. It would have to be on a SATA classic mechanical drive. Curious to hear from those of you who have either done this or have an opinion on the subject. All responses appreciated. Thanks
Nick Cooper
Hello, no need to canvass for opinion, it is very commonly done by those of us who cannot afford 3 TB SSDs. Just do it.
LesHintz
Brzl, I just did this on my FSX machine. Moved the entire ORBX folder to a drive with more room on it. Works great with a tiny slowdown because of the SATA rather than an SSD. One of the contributors On the FlightSim FSX forum gave me very detailed instructions for my specific case but that thread may be helpful Les Hintz
