brudgeon
Because of difficulties with FTXCv3 I downloaded the small NRM005.zip file manually (source was my-ftx.com…) When I extracted it, rather than seeing the expected exe file of the same name I got installer.exe (2384kB). On double-clicking this I got “No compatible simulators were found for this product. The installer will now close”. The exact same thing happened with CRM005. What’s incompatible about FSX? Then I noticed that the file sizes were identical at 1.16MB. Strange!
Ed Correia
Those are two year old installer files for use with FTX Central 2. I've replaced the zips with the file contents of the update that you can extract to the sim's folder.
brudgeon
OK, I have copied the ORBX folder in to the Microsoft Flight Simulator X folder as you suggested. What next? (Sadly I am no computer geek).
brudgeon
I have been doing a lot of FTX Region updates recently by way of a manually downloaded zip file which, when extracted, provides me with an exe file which then painlessly does the update. As far as crm005 and nrm005 updates are concerned you have a different procedure which has me "all at sea".Why make something difficult when it should be so easy??? Please help me with these updates.
