Solo86
Hi I'm sure that this has been asked before but I cannot find an explanation anywhere? I'm having trouble with scenery and I'm not sure what order the OrbX scenery (and other Payware and FSX scenery) should be in. In some instances I'm not sure which entries are what? Here is my list of entries. Can someone explain (or point me to the right place) what order they should be in please. 1 UK2000 Newcastle Xtreme 2 UK2000 Common Library 3 FTXAA_ORBXLIBS 4 FTX_AA_LDDU 5 FTX_AA_MONUMENTVALLEY 6 FTX_EU_ENG_05_SCENERY 7 FTX_EU_ENG_06_CVX 8 FTX_EU_ENG_07_MESH 9 FTX_EU_ENG_08_CUSTOM 10 FTXAA_YBCS 11 FTXAU05_ROADS 12 FTXAU15_SCENERY 13 FTXAU16_SHORES 14 FTXAU18_CUSTOM 15 FTXAU25_SCENERY 16 FTXAU26_SHORES 17 FTXAU28_CUSTOM 18 FTXAU35_SCENERY 19 FTXAU36_SHORES 20 FTXAU38_CUSTOM 21 FTXAU45_SCENERY 22 FTXAU46_SHORES 23 FTXAU48_CUSTOM 24 ORBX!OPENLC_!EUROPE_LIGHTS 25 ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE1 26 ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE10 27 ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE2 28 ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE3 29 ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE4 30 ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE5 31 ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE6 32 ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE7 33 ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE8 34 ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPE9 35 ORBX!OPENLC_NAMERICA1 36 ORBX!OPENLC_zBASE 37 Addon Scenery 38 Edwards_AFB 39 Berlin 40 Longleat 41 Istanbul 42 Reno 43 Propeller Objects 44 Global, Generic & Vehicle Libraries 45 Las Vegas 46 Rio de Janeiro 47 St. Maarten 48 Oshkosh Aerial Photo 49 South America 50 Oceania 51 Western North America 52 Eastern North America 53 Central North America 54 Western Europe 55 Eastern Europe 56 Australia 57 Asia 58 Africa 59 ORBX!VECTOR_OBJ 60 ORBX!VECTOR_FixedAPT 61 ORBX!VECTOR_APT 62 ORBX!VECTOR_CVX 63 ORBX!VECTOR_EXX 64 1107 Base 65 1106 Base 66 1105 Base 67 1104 Base 68 1103 Base 69 1102 Base 70 1101 Base 71 1100 Base 72 1007 Base 73 1006 Base 74 1005 Base 75 1004 Base 76 1003 Base 77 1002 Base 78 1001 Base 79 1000 Base 80 0907 Base 81 0906 Base 82 0905 Base 83 0904 Base 84 0903 Base 85 0902 Base 86 0901 Base 87 0900 Base 88 0807 Base 89 0806 Base 90 0805 Base 91 0804 Base 92 0803 Base 93 0802 Base 94 0801 Base 95 0800 Base 96 0707 Base 97 0706 Base 98 0705 Base 99 0704 Base 100 0703 Base 101 0702 Base 102 0701 Base 103 0700 Base 104 0607 Base 105 0606 Base 106 0605 Base 107 0604 Base 108 0603 Base 109 0602 Base 110 0601 Base 111 0600 Base 112 0507 Base 113 0506 Base 114 0505 Base 115 0504 Base 116 0503 Base 117 0502 Base 118 0501 Base 119 0500 Base 120 0407 Base 121 0406 Base 122 0405 Base 123 0404 Base 124 0403 Base 125 0402 Base 126 0401 Base 127 0400 Base 128 0307 Base 129 0306 Base 130 0305 Base 131 0304 Base 132 0303 Base 133 0302 Base 134 0301 Base 135 0300 Base 136 0207 Base 137 0206 Base 138 0205 Base 139 0204 Base 140 0203 Base 141 0202 Base 142 0201 Base 143 0200 Base 144 0107 Base 145 0106 Base 146 0105 Base 147 0104 Base 148 0103 Base 149 0102 Base 150 0101 Base 151 0100 Base 152 0007 Base 153 0006 Base 154 0005 Base 155 0004 Base 156 0003 Base 157 0002 Base 158 0001 Base 159 0000 Base 160 ORBX!VECTOR_AEC 161 Default Scenery 162 Default Terrain Scenery Order.txt
Stewart Hobson
Hi there and welcome. As far as I can see, the order looks correct. What sort of trouble are you having?
Solo86
The land textures and the houses etc look like stock FSX-SE. This is my home airport and town so I have flown here a lot during the last few years so I know what it looks like using the OrbX Global, Landclass, vector and England. It just looks like stock FSX and pretty horrible. I wonder if theres something else I'm missing? I have rebuilt my PC hence the reinstallation of all my software and addons. i7, GTX1060 6Gb, 8Gb Ram, SSD drive, Win 10, FSX-SE
Solo86
I have now reinstalled P3D and again installed my OrbX products in order. By doing this I found the problem. In the P3D OrbX installation it looked exactly like the FSX-SE one above UNTIL I installed the OrbX Libraries. Once I installed the orbX Libraries it was perfect. Unfortunately I had already installed the OrbX Libraries in the FSX-SE installation. FTXCentral 3 has no way of re-installing the OrbX Libraries or even Uninstalling the OrbX Libraries. How can I sort this?
Nick Cooper
If you want to uninstall the libraries, remove the FTXAA_ORBXLIBS entry from your in-game scenery library. Delete Orbx\FTX_AU\FTXAA_ORBXLIBS and Orbx\User Documents\Versions\FTX_AA_ORBXLIBS.txt.
Solo86
Thanks Nick. I managed to remove the OrbX Libraries and re-install. However that did not work. Have you plans to be able to uninstall the OrbX Libraries from FTX Central? I will now uninstall ALL Orbx scenery and try re-installing again. Solo86
I have reinstalled FSX-SE from 'scratch' and then run it at EGNT and had a fly around to get an impression of the scenery. I then installed FTX Global Base and then the OrbX libraries. Again I flew around EGNT but it looked just like before. As if FTX Global Base hadn't had an effect. FTX Global Base works fine in P3D but does not have any effect on the scenery in FSX-SE. How can I troubleshoot this further?
Solo86
FTX Global base doesn't seem to be installing into FSX-SE. What can I do?
Solo86
I've done another 'clean install' and that seemed to wok ok.
