FSX Crash ...

Try reducing autogen and clouds.  those are the two biggest memory hogs.  Also time how long you can fly before OOM crashes.  Then if nothing else works make that your time limit and save and exit FSX SE before your time limit expires. That will free up the memory.  Then take a break and restart the flight.  Also you want to have at least 8 gigs of ram in your system

That is correct, but if you have any non Orbx 3rd party addons, they should be at the top above your FTX entries, then you would need to open FTXC3, click on the settings cog (bottom left corner) and set your FTX insertion point to below your last 3rd party addon.
