american398
It's been almost a week, any ideas? Global base seems to work fine but North America open LC and Pacific nw look terrible.
Dave_YVR
Is it distant textures, close up or both? What sim? LOD radius is set to? How about a screenshot?
american398
mostly close textures, LOD at MAX(i have tried minimum and no change) dont have it installed right now so i cant get a screen shot.
american398
here is a screenshot and the order in which i have my orbx products installed in the scenery library.
FreeBird
From your specs I don't think your going to solve it, plus using High quality aircraft and going fast doesn't help. Your computer and graphics card are not up to the task.
american398
then why would global base work fine?
Dave_YVR
Oh my, yeah I didn't see the pc specs until just now as well. I think FreeBird hit it on the nose there.
Eric Rådstam
I had exactly the same problem before. The global base looked fine, no blurry but OLC Europe was a mess. It was like it never got fully loaded. Then I saw a thread here in the forums that suggested to change the afffinity mask to 249 or 241. I did that and now everything looks good! Sometimes it gets a little blurry but it is way better now. The tweak could have some fps impact according to some, but for me it was the opposite, good luck! plevenda
I have been having a horrible time with blurries lately and have tried everything I've seen in the forums without success. I have a similar set as djmatt but with a GTX 1070. Earlier tonight I uninstalled OpenLC NA, and guess what...no blurries. Got to be something up with OLC NA perhaps? Eric Rådstam
It is very strange, for me the afffinity mask setting 249 worked fine, but sometimes I have blurry textures but they clears up after a short while except for s few times. Have you contacted the orbx support? It seems to be a common problem for a lot of people, no matter the computer specs. What kind of other tweaks did you put in? plevenda
The only tweaks in my cfg are the affinity mask and Fiber frame fraction of 0.01. I have not contacted support because I can't figure out how to. Can you tell me how? Thanks
Nick Cooper
Do you think it will help now I have moved the topic from the OpenLC support forum to the FTX Payware support forum, where it may well attract more support?
Eric Rådstam
Perhaps, probably, but you should try to remove the fiber frame fraction, I think it causes blurry if you have it set to low, I have it set to default, 0.33Skickat från min SM-G900F via Tapatalk
plevenda
Ya, I used to have my FFF at .33 but recently changed it for some reason. I did just change it back to .33 and re-installed OLC NA and it doesn't look to bad on a low and slow quick flight. I'll see how it goes on an airline flight later. Thanks to all for your help, hope fully the re-install was the main issue.

american398
any progress? i wish i knew why global base works fine but other regions dont.
american398
I still would be interested in knowing why I don't have this issue with global base

american398
I know how you feel Eric. I wish the orbx team would explain. If it's just FSX then why do they release this stuff for FSX?
FreeBird
Global base is just a texture replacement where OLC and regions add auto gen. Like better cities, towns,Buildings, Roads, Dams, bridges, Trees and such. They are heaver on resources and tax your systems. If you got a good system and video card you should be having better results. Sometimes doing a clean install of your flight sim and software can go a long way in rectifying allot of problems. american398
but even with autogen turned off its still blurry.
