aero-3fsx
Anyone else getting strange emails with links to new products called "MS FSX 3D" & "Pro Flight Simulator" They "smell" like physhing emails to me rather than spam but I was curious if other are getting them as they seem very targeted & I cannot determine where they come from (not any reputable FS developer or website I know)
pmb
All Pro Flight Simulator related mails are Scam. I keep getting them for years and had a recent peak in those mails a few weeks ago. It's a repackaged FlightGear which is free (OpenSource). Kind regards, Michael
Scott Harmes
Hi, Yes I have heard of this several times before on other forums. I believe they were trying to sell a flight simulator that was available for free (or worse ). I can't recall the name of the free flight simulator. As I say I have read about similar occurrences several times before and they are usually advertising the same product with different names. A search at Avsim came up with this: http://www.avsim.com/topic/379479-professional-3-d-flight-simulator-spam/?hl=%2Bflight+%2Bsimulator+%2Bspam+%2Bmail Needless to say you should not reply and mark these emails as spam. Scott Harmes
Here are a couple of websites advertising the same free product for "just $67". I found these by googling "professional 3d flight simulator" NOTE: DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS http://www.virtualpilot3d.com/ http://flightprosim.com/ As Michael says above, the actual free simulator was/is called Flightgear: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FlightGear Cheers,
Double J
Been getting them for years, seems to have really exploded over the last year. As soon as you block one sending address they come up with 10 more. I have a good idea as to where they got my email from..not ORBX
