Jack Sawyer
I'll ask this because I've seen others ask this, are you using DX-10 preview? Oh, and you're supposed to have an order number.
Mikelab6
That's a known problem when using DX10 preview. Those black boxes are the street lights. Try unticking DX10 preview in your FSX settings, and if the problem is gone, you will know it's because of it. If you want to use DX10 preview because performance of the sim is better, you will need to use DX10 Steve's fixer tool to avoid those black boxes. DO a google search for Steve's DX10 fixer and you will find it... Mike
Nick Cooper
There is a freeware fix for the lights at the Avsim library, the file name is shader_release_v3.2.3.zip. The payware Dx10 Fixer can be purchased here
Gavin9
Thanks Mike and Nick, unclicking the DX10 preview worked, the black boxes have gone! Yippee! It has caused some difference to my screen sizes, but will refine your suggestions with my Grandson, as we oldies do. Cheers, Gavin
