gknow66
What is best intall order for Open LC, Vector, regions like Pacific NW or Central Rockies, and airports, ie: Eagle, Telluride etc.and is adding FS Global mesh a good idea or bad? I've experienced wierd airport elevation anomilies like cliffs lining the runway edges as if the runway is in a trench or on a plateau with both FTX Vector and FS Global installed. Don't have these issues when these two programs are removed.
Matt McGee
Following is copied from the Orbx Products Installation Guide: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/107252-orbx-product-installation-guide/#comment-965555 --- There is no specific recommended installation order, or an installation order required to prevent errors. Products installed from the latest installers can be installed into your simulator in any order without impacting other Orbx products negatively. However, as a general guideline, we suggest installing products from largest to smallest. In this case, largest to smallest refers to geographic coverage, so the guideline would be: Global products, ex: FTX Global, FTX Vector, FTX Global OpenLC Regions, ex: Australia SP4, Pacific Northwest, New Zealand North & South Islands Airports, ex: KPSP Palm Springs, NSTU Pago Pago, PAHO Homer Libraries --- Regarding mesh: The default mesh is inaccurate. The default airport elevations match the default (yet incorrect) mesh, so you don't see any errors. When accurate mesh is installed, airports with inaccurate elevations will appear to be on little plateaus (or depressions). When Orbx & PILOTS teamed up to create Global Vector, they also created the AEC (Airport Elevation Correction) tool, to fix many of the airports. The AEC will automatically correct the elevations for a bunch of airports. Any others you come across can be manually adjusted. You will find the AEC under the "tools" section in Orbx's FTX Central. Kodiak73
Matt, does it hurt to rerun the migration after installing the airports within the regions?

Sorry, but I don't know. There is a "Unified lookup" support forum where someone might be able to answer your question. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/forum/210-unified-lclookup-support/

No, but this is not necessary. Whenever installed "region", automatically when you open FTC2, it will begin the process of "migration".
